Sisterly Love – Long Beach Photographer

I am so excited to share this photo session with you!!!  Last weekend these two lovely sisters got together in Long Beach to get some fabulous, updated pictures for their parent’s anniversary present.  They were looking forward to seeing a more current (hot!) version of themselves on their parent’s wall when visiting them!  We only had a half hour to do this shoot on Susan’s lunch break, but these girls rocked this shoot with no problems!  Check it out!

Work it!!!

These girls know how to have fun!

I love this picture!  It looks like an old postcard!

We loved the southern California feel with all the palm trees!

Okay, so maybe I should warn you about these next few pics.  They are not your typical photos….HOWEVER, they are perfect for these sisters and that is the kind of photos I take: the ones that reflect you and your life.  Susan works at a mortuary and enjoys her job, hence the hearse and the skeleton.  All I can say is that I am grateful she works there because that  job that is vital to our society and I wouldn’t want it as my job.  Thank you Susan!

I think this pic just might be my favorite:

Awwww!

Little bit of skeleton mistletoe!

Last, but not least!  The runner up for favorite in my book!  Well, it can be my favorite in the “close-up” category.  I know that the girls love it, as did their parents!  Thanks ladies for a fabulous shoot!!!

Fun Trivia

Where does the time go?  It is already February!  And I still have to photograph the cute calendar my sister-in-law made for me.  It was my intention to take pictures of it at Christmas when I received it, but alas, I have not yet done that.  HOWEVER, I WILL!  And now that I’ve made that promise to you I have to!

On another note…some of my clients entered their super cute babies into the Regis and Kelly Beautiful Baby Contest!  I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of entries, yet I am holding out hope that one of the beautiful babies I know will win the $125,000 for college.  Not a bad deal!  Have you ever entered your child in a photo contest and won?  Tell me about it!  Oh, and just in case you need to see a pic of cute kids… Check out this old pic.  Recognize anyone?

What else is going on?  Well, I did a super cute photo shoot last weekend…but it is a surprise, so once my clients have given the photos to the surprise recipients, I can post some cool pics here!!!  Woohoo! Oh, but I will show you this photo that I took on the shoot… This was one of my backgrounds and it looks way better out of focus than in focus.  LOVE the light and the happy feeling it gives me.  Thank you kind people for letting us shoot in front of your house.  Your neighbors were watching us closely, but it’s okay, we only stood on the curb!

Play time at the park

More of my favorite kiddos…Caleb and Sarah!  The day after we got back to Sacramento from Ft. Lewis, we went to the park so they could get some energy out. It was so cold Caleb didn’t want to swing, but he did enjoy being a boy and making it rain mulch.  Sarah is a little on the shy side, but every now and then she gives me a great smile.  Enjoy!

Teaching Sarah the fine art of playing with mulch.

This girl just wants to crawl!!!

Family bowling night

Caleb’s new favorite activity is bowling!  The family has been at Ft. Lewis in Washington for the last six weeks and they have frequented the bowling alley many a night!  I got to hang out with the family (my cousins) one night and got my butt kicked at bowling by all of them, including Caleb!  Nevertheless, it was a blast and I took a few random shots (mostly without flash because I was being lazy).  Check it out:

Baby Sarah’s job is to sit in her high chair eating baby crackers and to cheer for her brother Caleb!

I love this series…Caleb was so excited that he knocked down all of the pins.  I told you he is good!

Having some fun once they shut down all the lanes.

The best family photo we could get at 10pm!  But it was a night of fun and this photo shows it!

My favorite cutie – Sacramento baby photographer

I’m back!  It feels like I haven’t blogged in so long!  Last week I was up at Ft. Lewis in Washington with my cousin’s family!  I love those kids so much and they are a growing! Here is a sneak peak of me and baby Sarah…the rest of the pics still have to be edited and blogged.  Check back soon!

Play date photo session with cousins – Orange County kid photographer

What is better than running around playing with your cousins having a great time? Only being the photographer!  I LOVE taking pics of kids being kids.  I am not a big fan of getting kids to sit still, look pretty and say cheese!  I say just let them play and you get the real smile!

These kids were a ton of fun to photograph! This first pic is one of my favs.  Just look at all of the different personalities shining through.

Organizing a game:

Baby Andrea turns 1 – Child birthday photographer – Orange County

What a year it has been!  A year ago we were all at the hospital in the wee hours of the morning praying for this baby and wishing she would hurry up and arrive!  She finally showed up and she was perfect!  I must say though, that I love photographing her at this age; her expressions, her smiles, her joy are simply the BEST!  Happy 1st Birthday Andrea! You are so precious!

There are a ton of photos that I could have included in this post, but I tried to narrow it down to just my favorite, favorites.  Enjoy!

Melissa’s friend Jill made these cakes for the party.  They were super yummy as well as being so beautiful!

Not too big of a mess!

Andrea loves to share…and feed other people!

He was sleeping!  But he opened one eye to see what was going on right when I took the picture!

She was not sure what to think, but she knew she didn’t want to hit it.

Andrea is very generous!
