White Christmas in Orange County

Who says you can’t have a white Christmas in Orange County!?  You just have to get creative!  :)  Enjoy.

Merry Christmas

Dear friends…Merry Christmas, a little early.  My heart is happy and I feel like rambling a little bit since I just got back from walking around Naples in Belmont Shore with my friends to look at all of the Christmas decorations.  -happy smile-   The houses that were decorated in a simple way with white lights, green wreaths and red accents made me happy.  I look at those houses and think “home”.  They just feel warm and cozy.

Speaking of warm and cozy, one of my favorite Christmas memories is curling up with a good book and reading it straight through; start to finish however long it took – five, six, seven hours.  That was always a good Christmas when I had a good book to read!  I also remember with fondness the packages we would get from Grandma.  There was always a handmade Christmas ornament for me and one for my brother.  I still have mine and I treasure them because they were made with love, for me.  A funny memory happened one year when I was about five or six, I remember my parents talking about our Christmas presents…in Spanish; which is what they did when they didn’t want my brother and I to know what they were talking about.  Well, the plan backfired a little bit because I was able to figure out that “tramploin” meant “trampoline” and I was pretty excited!  Thank you mom and dad for all you did for me.

What are some of your favorite memories or traditions?  Leave a comment!  I’d love to hear.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.  Merry Christmas to you and yours.  I hope and pray that you take time this week to spend time with those you love and to remember the greatest love of all.  Jesus.  He came to show you love.  This Christmas….remember.
