Happy 4th of July to you!!! The fun, friends, family and food were great, not to mention the fireworks! Oh and also…I think now is a good time to mention that I am now based out of Sacramento, CA not Orange County!!! While the weather is MUCH hotter than the OC, the advantage is that I can photograph my favorite little one anytime I want. :)
Although I am working full-time in a non-photography environment, I will always be a photographer at heart and will shoot as much as I can. I look forward to hearing from you and capturing life (taking pictures!) at your next family get together.
Check out the pics from the 4th!

Yummy watermelon! Love the watermelon face!

They love each other so much!

Someone set off a firecracker and they had to see what was going on.

Well, it may not be the biggest smile, but at least I can see his eyes! :)

Caleb, you are getting SO big! And you are so smart.
2010 was a great year with lots of fun photographs of beautiful people! A little bit of everything with senior pictures, maternity session, weddings, birthday parties, and family photos. While I am starting to enjoy location scouting a little bit more, I still have a deep love for the perfect expression no matter the location. For me, it is all about capturing life as it is happening. Here are some of my favorites from the past year. I’d love to know what you think, so drop me an email or leave a comment on the blog.

This bundle of joy just turned 2 and had a fabulous birthday party in Lake Elsinore. Unfortunately being a January baby does not guarantee you warm weather for your birthday, even if you do live in Southern California, but don’t fear! With parents like hers, they had it all under control and indoors to stay warm and dry! Everything from the bounce house jumper (one of her presents which she loved) to the pinata found a perfect place indoors. Hmm, maybe they should go into party planning! Enjoy the pics:

FRIENDS!!!

Kisses for Ducky:

Yes, it is true! She likes vegetables more than cake!

hmmm, what is it???

Ok, I’m going. I’ve got my present and I’m good!

ooooooo!

FUN! So much more enjoyable than last year when she wasn’t sure about the pinata!

Ya man!

This pinata was a tough one to break open. All of the kids had their turn or more than a turn and then the adults (or at least one of them!) decided it was time to take matters into her own hands!

So much fun in the bounce house!

jumping, jumping, jumping!

Come, come play with me. This is one of her new words!

The party is over. But thank you for all of my toys!

Recognize this sweet face? She has been my friend since the day she was born and I love watching her grow. :) Her mom and I were shopping at Costco and I saw these tutus and HAD to have Andrea try one on. Turns out mom had to buy it for her because she loved it so much. A real photo shoot will happen later once she gets the cast off her foot.
Ta-ta for now.

Happy 4th of July! We are so blessed to live in as free of a country as we do. And we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all those who have gone before and are now fighting for our freedom. Thank you to all our servicemen and women who have given and do give their lives for my freedom.
Here are a few pictures from the Lake Forest 4th of July Parade yesterday that represent those who fight for you and I. Have a great day!!!! And remember freedom is something you fight for.

HOT! I think that sums up this engagement session from Oceanside, and no, I’m not talking about the weather! Derik has this way of making Brittany laugh about once a minute and it is so contagious…we are lucky I even snapped any photos because I was laughing too!

Super cute! Pretty close to the spot where Derik proposed to Brittany! Except they were on a boat!

Look out because you might see them on the next Dancing with the Stars!

Love this!!!

Another little bit of personality incorporated into the photo shoot! Brittany has ice skated for oh, just about 20 years and most recently for Disney on Ice! Derik, although not from California, picked up surfing once he moved here. LOVE it!!!
