July is here!

Happy fourth of July weekend!  I hope that you all have a great time with friends and family!  Stay safe!!!

June crafts!

Here is a backdated post with the lovely calendar from the month of June!  I guess I slacked a little on posting it the first of every month like I said I would.  Thank you again to my sister-in-law who knows how to give Christmas gifts that last all year long!

May and Mother’s Day

May is upon us!  Did you know that Mother’s Day is on the 9th?  Just about a week away!  What are you going to do to honor your mom?  Have you come up with a plan yet?  More importantly do you like your plan?  Take some time this month to really think about what your mom would like and then spend some time making that happen.  (And if you need a photo session or a gift certificate, just give me a call!!!  714 dash 270  -  7215)

In the past my brother and I would often get photos of ourselves taken as a gift for my mom since that is something she would treasure.  Trinkets, gift certificates, a nice meal out are not things that are on her top ten list of things she would like from us. She is all about family time and seeing our faces.

And since it is the first of the month here is another photo of this month’s cute calendar that my sister-in-law made for me.

******edited to add

My mom is an avid quilter and most, if not all, of the quilts she makes go to wounded soldiers.  This is one of her recent quilts:

All of that to say, that my mom and I are going to go see this musical for mother’s day!  Check it out!

A day in the life of a four year old – Sacramento Children’s photographer

It was just another Friday afternoon around the house.  Katrina was working on a worm bin for her environmental studies class and of course the little ones wanted to see what it was all about:

Momma and baby sis checking on the worms too:

Off to the flower garden with Grandma to cut some sweet peas for the house.

And then there is this little girl whose name means wild princess and she is a stinker!  She reminds me a little bit of me when I was younger, just wanting to do whatever brother is doing.  She won’t even walk on her own and yet has a fit when she can’t ride a bike like her brother!  Oh dear!  God bless her momma with patience!

The Sarah version of crawling.  (On a side note…it took me a few minutes to be able to get this shot because she is on the go and doesn’t look at the camera very often.  But I was so happy when I finally caught her looking my way for one second!)

NOT a fan of hats!  Too bad momma said she has to wear it at the pool this summer.  Sarah, dear Sarah, your momma is more stubborn than you, so I suggest you just listen and wear the hat like a good girl so you can go swimming this summer.

Aw, a happy face!

Painting time!!!  With Auntie Des!

Love the concentration and focus!

Love you Caleb!

t.i.m.e. spells love to this one

Love languages.  Have you heard of them?  Love is expressed and received through different ways and it is not necessarily the same for each person. This child KNOWS, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I love him when I spend time with him because that is one of the ways he receives love.  I love Caleb dearly and happen to think that love is spelled t.i.m.e. too, so we get along just dandy!

We spent about an hour sitting out on the driveway putting together a helicopter and an airplane and then painting them.  Together.  Just the two of us.  (No baby sister trying to rain on his parade.)  t.i.m.e. is love.

April Showers bring May flowers…

…Good thing I have my super cute rain boots in case it rains!  Check out the cute handmade calendar my sister-in-law made for me.  (And my cute rain boots in the background.)  I’m off to teach a sign language class, but wanted to say Happy April and show off the calendar for the month before heading out the door (again)! Check back soon for more “a girl and her horse” pictures!

March is off to a great start – Orange County Photographer

March is here and it brought sunshine with it!  No complaints about that seeing as how we need to dry out a bit from the weekend downpour! The sun was shining so bright this morning that I took this shot outside!  I have a shoot schedule for this weekend that has already been re-scheduled several times and if the weatherman is right, it might just get rescheduled again!  Ugh!  Enjoy the sun today!!!

Handmade by my sister-in-law!
