Beach time!!! – Crystal Cove Beach Fun – Photographer

A couple weeks ago my friends and I met up at Crystal Cove beach for a beach day before I drove back up to Sacramento.  The water was so blue, the sky so perfect and we got there before the crowds which makes everything better.  Here is one photo…the rest are yet to come…and there is a “once-in-a-lifetime” picture, so check back soon to see that.

Baby’s first birthday – Ladera Ranch – Child Photographer

Bella rocked her first birthday party in Ladera Ranch.  She had friends, family, games and a hot dog vendor who fed us all great dogs and nachos!  This post is really three posts in one, so sit back and relax while looking through all the pictures I posted!

I love the little feet!

Best idea EVER!  Well, at least since sliced bread…when it comes to edible items… Cupcake cake.  Is that what you call it?  I don’t even know, but this is one idea that is worth copying!  Beautiful cake, and NO mess!

I love pretty party bags.  :):)

Here to save the day!  Michelle with The Dog House!

Yummy in my tummy!

The birthday girl…showing up to her party in style.  Sporting a shirt that says: My name is: A Miracle.

Full of smiles!

Blowing kisses…that is another favorite thing to do.

I love capturing the interactions!!!  So much fun!

SO CUTE!

It’s my birthday!!!

Wow, what do I do???

Yeah, no thanks Mom.

Ok, fine.  I’ll have a taste.

She is chatting it up with her friend about the chips, food, party… and I’m sure hair styles and clothes too.  You should have heard it.

La familia.

Look at that smile!  I’m sure mom is making faces at her cause she is sure grinning.

Bella’s birthday buddy.

So sweet!

Love, love, love all the pics of kids playing, smiling…I love capturing life.

Bye guys!  It’s been fun!  :):)

4th of July fun in Sacramento California

Happy 4th of July to you!!!  The fun, friends, family and food were great, not to mention the fireworks!  Oh and also…I think now is a good time to mention that I am now based out of Sacramento, CA not Orange County!!! While the weather is MUCH hotter than the OC, the advantage is that I can photograph my favorite little one anytime I want.  :)

Although I am working full-time in a non-photography environment, I will always be a photographer at heart and will shoot as much as I can.  I look forward to hearing from you and capturing life (taking pictures!) at your next family get together.

Check out the pics from the 4th!

Yummy watermelon!  Love the watermelon face!

They love each other so much!

Someone set off a firecracker and they had to see what was going on.

Well, it may not be the biggest smile, but at least I can see his eyes!  :)

Caleb, you are getting SO big!  And you are so smart.

Living Life – Sacramento Family Photographer

Life.  Capturing life and the little moments here and there.  That is what I do.  I am far more interested in capturing what is there, than trying to make something up, just to capture it.  All of that to say…some of my favorite photo sessions are at the park, when no one is planning on a photo session.  It takes all the pressure off and I am free to capture the true beauty that I see.

That is a pretty good smile for her, believe it or not!  :)

AMAZING!  Caleb actually looked at me and smiled.  He has been pretty camera shy lately.

FUN!

Mom’s not so sure!

Two smiles in one day!  I’m on a roll!

Sarah was loving the wind in her face!

Cute!

“Hey Caleb.  Come over here for a picture.”

and…sometimes…sitting on a bench isn’t the best idea for a family photo!  :)  :)  But it still makes laugh because there is truth in this picture.  :)

New addition to the family – Sacramento child photographer

There is a new addition to the family!!! This one is a little furry and has four legs! You might remember Caleb and Sarah from previous posts; here, here and here.  I love these kids so much and enjoy watching them live life.  Adding a puppy to the mix makes it even more interesting to take pictures of life happening.  Sometimes I catch a split second in time that leaves me laughing long after I capture the shot. Enjoy a glimpse into our afternoon adventure.

Kid after my own heart!  Rain boots are FUN!

She is giving him a piece of her mind!!!

But he still loves her!

Look at that cute face!!!

Remote control cars are the favorite toy of choice right now.

It is hilarious to watch Sarah try to figure out how to make the car go!!!  She does not quite have it all figured out yet.

Looking back – favs of 2010 – Orange County and Sacramento Family and Life photographer

2010 was a great year with lots of fun photographs of beautiful people!  A little bit of everything with senior pictures, maternity session, weddings, birthday parties, and family photos.  While I am starting to enjoy location scouting a little bit more, I still have a deep love for the perfect expression no matter the location.  For me, it is all about capturing life as it is happening.  Here are some of my favorites from the past year.  I’d love to know what you think, so drop me an email or leave a comment on the blog.

2 year old birthday party – Lake Elsinore Family Photographer

This bundle of joy just turned 2 and had a fabulous birthday party in Lake Elsinore. Unfortunately being a January baby does not guarantee you warm weather for your birthday, even if you do live in Southern California, but don’t fear!  With parents like hers, they had it all under control and indoors to stay warm and dry!  Everything from the bounce house jumper (one of her presents which she loved) to the pinata found a perfect place indoors.  Hmm, maybe they should go into party planning! Enjoy the pics:

FRIENDS!!!

Kisses for Ducky:

Yes, it is true!  She likes vegetables more than cake!

hmmm, what is it???

Ok, I’m going.  I’ve got my present and I’m good!

ooooooo!

FUN!  So much more enjoyable than last year when she wasn’t sure about the pinata!

Ya man!

This pinata was a tough one to break open.  All of the kids had their turn or more than a turn and then the adults (or at least one of them!) decided it was time to take matters into her own hands!

So much fun in the bounce house!

jumping, jumping, jumping!

Come, come play with me.  This is one of her new words!

The party is over.  But thank you for all of my toys!
